The Nihali Well Building Project The Nihali village is situated on a hill top with a population of about 30 families comprising around 200 people. The villagers are mainly dependant on farming and forest wealth as their source of income. Their drinking water comes from a well situated half way down the hill. They plan to strengthen and rebuild the well to stop water from leaking which will save enough water to last them till June every year. The well is 18 feet in diameter and 25-30 feet deep. YVO’s contribution to Keshav Srushti: The cost of rebuilding and strengthening the well will cost around Rs.7 Lacs. YVO intends to channelize the donation received for February 2020 towards the material, labour, equipment and administrative costs involved in this project. YVO has previously supported Keshav Srushti in September 2019. Our post donation audits have yielded very positive results and hence we intend to continue our association with them in future.
