The Bamboo Craft Centre Keshav Srushti Gram Vikas Yojana (KSGVY) started the project of Bamboo Craft in Tetwali village with the objective of women empowerment. 26 ladies from Tetwali village were trained in bamboo craft for one month. During the training period these ladies started manufacturing various types of products from bamboo like paper weights, kandil, pen + mobile + visiting card stand, hot pot stands and serving trays. This training not only developed the manual skill of bamboo craft manufacturing in these females but also developed their self esteem and self confidence. Seeing the success of the Tetwali centre, KSGVY plans to open 8 more centres in the Vikramgad area. YVO’s contribution to Keshav Srushti: The training and setup cost of 1 bamboo craft centre is Rs.1,10,000. YVO intends to channelize the donation received for September 2019 towards the training and setup costs of 8 bamboo craft centres.
