About the Charity
Shivganga Samagra Gramvikas Parishad is a group of Social Entrepreneurs committed to restoring the ecosystem of sustainable living through holistic village development through social leadership. In the past 10 years, Shivganga has built 67 ponds by empowering more than 8000 youth with inspiration, knowledge and appropriate skills through various training programs. These youth are now becoming agents of change in their villages. In 2017, Shivganga built 10 ponds with water holding capacity of 148 crore litres. This year Shivganga has identified 13 potential sites for building earthen dams for rainwater harvesting with a cumulative water holding capacity of 77 crore litres.
