About the Charity
AAI foundation has been working since 2004 through Balgram (Sahara Anathalaya Pariwar) in Georai Taluka (Beed District) to rehabilitate and provide basic needs to under-privileged orphan children, children of sex workers, prisoners and farmers who have committed suicide due to draught. Currently, the institute is a home for more than 85 children, ranging from 3 years to 18 years of age group, studying in standard 1st to 12th. AAI works towards providing these children with basic needs, healthcare, a hygienic atmosphere with proper sanitation facility, quality academic cum moral education and opportunities to develop personal skills and nurture hobbies.
AAI Foundation focuses on health and hygiene of children but as of now their kitchen, storage and dining facilities are traditional and they face a lot of fundamental issues. For example, cooking food traditionally needs a lot of manpower and is time consuming and tedious, lack of cold storage voids them from stocking degradable food items like fruits and dairy and since there is no dining hall, children have their meal in batches, sitting on the ground. YVO channelized the donation received for the month of March 2018 towards upgrading AAI Foundation's kitchen and dining facility by providing them with a commercial kitchen refrigerator, kitchen/dining furniture, a water filter and cooler, a dough kneader, an oven, some kitchen utensils and a washing machine. Small Act, Big Impact? This kitchen and dining setup upgraded with the help of your donation will help impact the lives of over 85 underprivileged children and raise their standard of health and hygiene.
